Fairborn, Ohio — Fairborn Digital Academy (FDA) has once again demonstrated its commitment to student success, earning an overall rating of Exceeds Standards for the fourth consecutive year on the Ohio State School Report Card. This year’s report also highlights significant growth in the Gap Closure measure, which reflects how well schools are improving or meeting performance expectations for all students in English language arts, math, and graduation rates.

The Ohio State School Report Cards provide insights into how schools and districts are preparing students for the future. They assess performance in key areas that are essential to student learning and long-term achievement.

“This report card is a direct result of the hard work of the students and staff at FDA and demonstrates the dedication to learning exemplified by the district,” said Erik Tritsch, Executive Director of Fairborn Digital Academy.

FDA’s strong performance reflects the dedication of its students, staff, and leadership to creating an environment where every learner can succeed. This year’s notable increase in the Gap Closure measure underscores the school’s success in ensuring all students are making meaningful academic progress, regardless of background or challenge.

As a dropout prevention and recovery school, FDA specializes in helping students who may not thrive in traditional settings overcome personal and academic obstacles. The school offers a supportive, flexible, and highly personalized learning experience that combines online coursework with in-person class time, tutoring, and individual attention from accountability coaches.

Fairborn Digital Academy’s mission is to provide students in grades 9–12 with a choice in their education and a path toward graduation when traditional systems may not be working to support their needs. Through a hybrid model that includes in-person and digital learning, accountability coaches, and supplemental lifeskills, the school serves approximately 250 students from Fairborn and surrounding districts including Beavercreek, Xenia, Dayton, Yellow Springs, Huber Heights, Greenon, Tecumseh, and Mad River.

“Our focus on both academic success and personal growth ensures students leave FDA not only with a diploma but with the skills and confidence to take their next steps,” Tritsch said. “We are proud to have been recognized by the state and that the data is showing our approach is working to support student success.”
